Who We Are
Senior Partner of the firm David specialises in high net worth matrimonial matters. He joined the firm in 1977 and became a Partner in 1979. David is a past President of the Warrington Law Society and a founder member of the British Association of Lawyer Mediators. He is a Family Law Panel Assessor and Examiner and served on the Law Society’s National Committee from 1998 until 2002. He writes on legal topics for local newspapers.
Phillip specialises in Family law including children act proceedings. Phillip also deals with contested litigation. Phillip qualified as a Solicitor in 1982, joined the firm two years later and became a partner in 1986. Phillip is a Deputy District Judge and sits in a number of Courts in the Northern Circuit. He is married with two daughters and enjoys sports and outdoor activities.
John joined steels in 1983 and became a Partner in 1988. He provides a broad base of services to the firm including Divorce, Conveyancing and Wills and Probate. John is also a Deputy District Judge dealing with Civil and Family matters in the Northern Circuit. He is married with three daughters and is active in both his local church and Merseyside Christian Youth camps. His personal interests include watching and still playing a variety of sports.
A member of the Family team based in Stockton Heath Catriona joined the firm in March 2005 after completing her training at a Chester firm. She became a Partner of the firm in 2010. Catriona qualified as a Collaborative lawyer in 2008 and is an accredited member of the Family Law Panel. She is a member of Resolution and is currently Cheshire Regional Press Officer for the organisation.
Mike Lockley joined Steels in 1987 and has over 30 years experience as a Property solicitor. He deals with both domestic and commercial property, Wills and Probate matters. His interests include walking and he is a keen gardener.
Working closely with Michael Lockley Nikki is a Probate Clerk dealing with Wills and Probate matters. Nikki has been at Steels since 2001. She is currently working towards her STEP qualification in Will writing. Nikki’s spare time is taking up with running a Rainbows unit and running her daughter to all her extra curricular activities.
